Colour Therapy
I am a fully trained colour
therapist having trained in 1992 under the well-known
colour therapist Marie Louise-Lacy. I am a member of
the International Association of Colour Therapists.
(MIACT). I also lecture at college within Bristol, England.
I hold a teachers certificate to teach adults.
I am often asked
exactly what is colour therapy? It seems to be not so
widely known as other complimentary therapies. Colour
therapy comes under the umbrella of vibrational healing
therapies. Another words, colour is an energy that is
measurable and is a small part of the electromagnetic
spectrum. The seven main colours as seen in a prism
start from a slow denser frequency (the red ray) to
a much faster frequency of the violet. These colours
interrelate to the chakra system, and the auric field
that surrounds us.
In colour therapy
we understand that the human body is not just a physical
dense body. We emanate light and our body is constantly
changing and emitting light (frequencies). Both illness
and our emotions affect this constant flux. The aim
of colour therapy is to introduce the right colours
into our energy fields to help physical and emotional
problems. Ultimately we are seeking to balance and realign
ourselves to gain optimum health and well being.
There are many methods that
are used to incorporate colour into our system. I use
coloured silk scarves, solarized water, coloured light,
colour breathing, coloured crystals, and aromatherapy
oils. I use spiritual healing to re-align the body as
well. Another important addition to the colour healing
is the use of flower essences, which substantially enhance
the healing work.
